- THE BRIEF
- THE PROCESS
The design system draws from Matis’s core philosophy: transformation as a ritual that renews not only the skin but the self. This idea informed every element of the visual language—from organic textures representing active ingredients like caviar extract, algae, and seawater to soft gradients, fluid forms and luminous colour shifts that evoke a sense of radiance and renewal. The colour palette, rooted in earthy greens, crisp whites, and velvety blacks, reflects the balance between natural elements and scientific precision, while maintaining a Parisian chic aesthetic.
In the Caviar campaign, we focused on the luxurious richness of the ingredient, using velvety textures and deep tones to convey indulgence and potency. The Éclat campaign emphasised lightness and glow, incorporating aqueous textures and soft light effects to reflect the product’s revitalising properties. The precise 3D modelling and textures create a sense of tactility and depth, bringing the brand’s high-performing ingredients to life in both still and motion assets. These visual elements were paired with soft aqueous gel textures, ethereal glow effects and natural imagery that embodies freshness, natural beauty, hydration and radiance.
By focusing on the sensory experience of transformation, the design captures Matis’s duality: scientific authority paired with indulgent care. Every touchpoint, from product visuals to animated assets, reinforces the idea of skincare as a journey of renewal—one that enhances not only appearance but also confidence and self-expression.
